Are You Dedicated to Making a Difference?

Are You Dedicated to Making a DifferenceRecently we said wealthy people are always looking for opportunities to GET INTO whereas the rest are always looking for excuses to get OUT OF things.

Today we came across something US President Harry S. Truman reportedly said that fits neatly with these ideas. He said, “A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities and an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties”.

There are always opportunities all around us. Usually they’re right under our noses. All too often we don’t see them because we’re looking for them “out there somewhere” or, more likely, we’re too busy rushing back and forth on the treadmill each day to take the time to look.

We’re too busy making peanuts to take the time to get rich. As silly as this might sound, it’s exactly how most people live their lives without so much as a moment’s thought.

Then there are the sceptics and cynics who, when presented with an opportunity refuse to even look. Needless to say they’re destined to a life on Struggle St. There’s actually another group who continually miss every opportunity as well.

They’re the critics. They find fault in anything and everything and can always give us 100 reasons why something is no good or won’t work. That’s leaves a small minority of people who are open to ideas, looking for opportunities and dedicated to making a difference.
