In the previous post we discussed the main difference between wealthy people and the rest and we said very wealthy people are always looking for opportunities whereas people doing it tough typically refuse to look at anything and always have a whole raft of excuses as to why they can’t do anything about their predicament.
The fact is truly wealthy people are always looking for opportunities to GET INTO whereas the rest are always looking for excuses to get OUT OF anything and everything.
It’s been observed that the majority of people generally accept change only in the face of necessity and see the necessity only in a time of crisis. It’s also been observed that most people only discover their true capabilities when their backs are against the wall.
Put another way, high achievers are different because they don’t need a crisis or to have their backs against the wall to take full advantage of the opportunities available to all.
High achievers relentlessly pursue their dreams whereas those on Struggle St. are driven by their nightmares and even then they only act when desperate. High achievers are not gifted and generally have no more skills or qualifications than most everybody else.
The difference is in their attitude to life and all it has to offer. Their goal is to add value and to contribute as much as they can, not to take and get as much as they can. That’s why they receive so much more.
